Mayo Clinic Platform has introduced it’s working with a Utah-based firm known as Techcyte on the creation of a digital pathology platform.  

The organizations declare this digital pathology platform will essentially reshape the subsequent era of pathology providers with an open, end-to-end, synthetic intelligence-driven resolution. The platform is being designed to allow healthcare organizations to economically digitize their pathology practices and use progressive technical and AI workflow options. 

“Our collaboration with Techcyte will produce a worldwide digital pathology platform, bringing collectively privacy-protected knowledge sources, resolution builders, and caregivers,” stated John Halamka, M.D., president of Mayo Clinic Platform, in a press release.

The software program as a service-based digital pathology platform is an extension of Techcyte’s scientific pathology platform. The thought is to create an open AI-enabled anatomic pathology ecosystem that’s standards-driven and workflow-focused. Mayo Clinic Platform stated the digital pathology platform would allow the combination of a various group of pathologists, laboratory info system (LIS) distributors, complete slide scanner producers, storage, AI suppliers, biopharma, and labs.
